BACKGROUND: Coaggregating FcεRI with FcγRII receptors holds great potential for
treatment of IgE-mediated disease by inhibiting FcεRI signaling. We have previously shown
that an Fcγ-Fcε fusion protein, human IgG-IgE Fc fusion protein (GE2), could inhibit FcεRI-
