Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) refers to a spectrum of liver damage ranging from
simple steatosis to nonalcoholic steatohepatitis, advanced fibrosis, and rarely, progression
to cirrhosis. The pathogenesis of NAFLD is thought to be related to insulin resistance and
