CDX2 is a caudal-related homeobox transcription factor whose expression in the adult is
normally restricted to intestinal epithelium. Mice heterozygous for germ line Cdx2
inactivation develop intestinal polyps, and the lesions lack Cdx2 expression. Prior studies
