Neuropeptide Y (NPY) is a centrally acting neuromodulator that influences both
consummatory behaviors and anxiety. NPY's effects on feeding are primarily regulated
through Y5 receptors in hypothalamic sites, whereas NPY-induced anxiolysis appears to be
