Clinical and morphologic observations were made in 229 necropsypatients with diabetes
mellitus (DM) with onset of diabetes mellitus after 30 years of age-65 without (DM-CHD) and
164 with (DM+ CHD) clinical evidence of coronary heart disease (CHD). These observations
