Chemokines are a'complex superfamily of chemotactic cytokines mainly involved in immune
and inflammatory processes (1-3). The extravasation of leukocytes from the blood
compartment into tissues is best described as a multistep process in which multiple
molecules are at play in any given step. Among other, chemotactic cytokines playa crucial
