The β isoform of thyroid hormone receptor (TR-β) has a key role in the feedback regulation
of the hypothalamic-pituitary-thyroid (HPT) axis. The mechanism of trans-repression of the
hypothalamic thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH) and pituitary thyroid-stimulating
