Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a potentially dangerous Gram-negative nosocomial pathogen,
causing bacteremia in debilitated patients, and a prominent cause of bacterial cholangitis.
Opportunistic infections with other nosocomial pathogens, eg Staphylococcus aureus, are
