CD14-transfected Chinese hamster ovary K1 fibroblasts (CHO/CD14) respond to
lipopolysaccharide (LPS) by metabolizing arachidonic acid and with translocation of NF-κB
to the nucleus. Although previous experiments failed to identify the production of tumor
necrosis factor-α and interleukin (IL)-1β by CHO/CD14 cells, LPS did induce the expression
