Chylomicrons are lipoproteins synthesized exclusively by the intestine to transport dietary fat
and fat-soluble vitamins. Synthesis of apoB48, a translational product of the apob gene, is
required for the assembly of chylomicrons. The apob gene transcription in the intestine
