Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the modification of proteins by reactive nitrogen
species (RNS) and of tyrosine residues. The mechanisms by which tyrosine is modified by
nitrogen oxides (NO), and assay methods for 3-nitrotyrosine, a modified product of tyrosine
