EPO mRNA expression on single colonies in clonal culture. Total RNA was extracted from single colonies formed by pure BFU-E, CFU-M, CFU-GM, and CFU-G. cDNAs were synthesized and EPO mRNA detection was carried out using RT-PCR (45 cycles).
