Effect of chronic treatment of rats with albuterol on GRK activity and GRK2 expression in lung. Rats were given saline or albuterol (40 μg/kg/h) for 7 days, and GRK activity and the expression of GRK2 protein in lung were determined by measuring the phosphorylation of rhodopsin (a) and by Western analysis (b and c), respectively. Each bar represents the mean ± SEM of 12 determinations. AP < 0.05, significant increase in GRK2 activity and expression.
