CAM inhibits NF-κB activation. (a) Inhibition of TNF-α–induced NF-κB activation by pretreatment with CAM. HepG2 cells were pretreated with CAM for 1 hour at the indicated concentration. After 1-hour treatment with TNF-α, NF-κB activation in the nuclear extracts was analyzed using EMSA. (b and c) HepG2 cells were transfected with NF-κB pGL3 Luc and treated with TNF-α and CAM for 24 hours. (b) The values of Luc/β-gal activity. AP < 0.0001 vs. TNF-α (+), CAM (–). (c) Fold induction by TNF-α. AP < 0.0001 vs. TNF-α (+), CAM (–).
