Increased MK expression in the carotid artery after balloon injury. (a) RT-PCR products for MK and GAPDH were separated on 1% agarose gels. (b) Competitive RT-PCR for MK and GAPDH. (c) Proteins extracted from the carotid arteries that corresponded to an original weight of 10 mg were separated by 15% SDS-PAGE. MK protein was detected with anti-mouse MK antibody on Western blotting.
