(a) Reactivity of mAb 3.B6 with normal human valve. Formalin-fixed human mitral valves were processed by routine histochemical techniques and incubated with mAb 3.B6 at 10 μg/mL. Monoclonal antibody 3.B6 binding was detected using biotin-conjugated anti-human antibodies and alkaline phosphatase–labeled streptavidin followed by phosphatase substrate. (b) Control valve sections were negative after reaction with human IgM at 10 μg/mL.
