Macrophages do not express Kim-1/Tim-1. RT-PCR (left panel) for Kim1 mRNA from day 7 mouse bone marrow macrophages cultured with LPS or dexamethasone. Emr1 (F4/80 antigen) and Gapdh were used as controls, and mouse kidney cDNA 48 hours following ischemia was used as a positive control.
