A single dose of TSA increases Smn gene expression but not SMN protein levels in nontransgenic mice. (A) Smn, follistatin, and BDNF mRNA levels and (B) SMN and BDNF protein levels were determined in brains, livers, spinal cords, and muscle tissues 2 hours after nontransgenic mice were treated with a single dose of TSA (10 mg/kg; n = 8) or vehicle (n = 7).
