Subject characteristics. Administration of exogenous leptin to weight-reduced subjects ingesting an isocaloric diet was associated with a significant decline in body weight and fat mass but not fat-free mass. Data refer to 10 subjects: 5 males, 5 females; 7 obese, 3 never-obese.
