I/R-mediated activation of PKCβII in the lung. PKCβ+/+ and PKCβ–/– mice were subjected to left-lung ischemia for 1 hour and reperfusion for 10–15 minutes. Membranous fractions were prepared from I/R and uninstrumented lung, and were subjected to SDS-PAGE (7.5%, 5 ∝g of total protein/lane) and immunoblotting with antibody to PKCβII (A), PKCδ (B), and PKCε (C).
