DHA infusion into living mice increases hepatic lipid peroxidation and reduces VLDL-ApoB100 secretion. C57BL/6J mice were infused with DHA/BSA or OA/BSA for 6 hours. The mice were then injected via the jugular vein with [35S]-Met/Cys together with Triton WR1339. After 60 minutes, liver homogenate and plasma samples were prepared. (A) Lipid peroxidation levels in the liver homogenate samples. *P < 0.03 vs. OA. (B) Plasma [35S]-ApoB100, which reflects hepatic production of VLDL-[35S]-ApoB100, was determined by SDS-PAGE/fluorography. **P < 0.003 vs. OA.
