Number of COX-2–positive cells (c, n = 6 in each group, *P < 0.05 compared with normal salt diet) and mPGES expression in the MD significantly increased in response to the low-salt diet (LS) compared with the normal salt diet (NS). Nuclei are blue. In situ hybridization clearly demonstrated mPGES mRNA expression in MD cells (f).
