Figure 6Effect of NF-κB inhibition on albumin-induced IL-8 synthesis. Confluent PTECs were treated for 6 h with medium alone, HSA (10 mg/ml), PDTC (5 or 25 μM, added 1 h before the addition of HSA), SN50, or its mutant peptide SN50M (100 μg/ml, added 1 h before the addition of HSA). At the end of incubation, IL-8 was measured in supernatants by ELISA, while cell number was counted. Results are means ± SD of triplicate experiments of three kidney preparations.
