IL-15 transcription is downregulated in the kidneys of mice with NSN. There is a decrease in IL-15 transcript in the kidneys of IL-15^+/+ mice injected with nephrotoxic serum (measured on day 14 after induction of NSN) compared with transcript in kidneys of uninjected IL-15^+/+ mice, as measured by RT-PCR.
