BATIRKO mice demonstrate a progressive glucose intolerance. The ability to handle a glucose load was assessed by carrying out a glucose tolerance test at 3, 6, and 12 months of age in WT (×), Cre (triangles), IRloxP (diamonds), and BATIRKO (squares) male (a, c, and e) and female (b, d, and f) mice. An age-dependent glucose intolerance was observed in both male and female mice.
