Nitrotyrosine/tyrosine ratio in liver of MPO–/– mice after zymosan treatment. MPO–/– and wild-type mice (MPO+/+) received either intraperitoneal zymosan (n = 6), or sodium chloride (NaCl) as a control (n = 6). After 96 hours, the liver was perfused and processed for quantitative nitrotyrosine and tyrosine analysis as described in Methods.
