Effect of Na heparin and bFGF on chylomicron remnant uptake in Ldlr–/– livers. Ldlr–/– livers were perfused with DiD remnants (red) (a) without or (b) with 6 μg/ml Na heparin or (c) 6 μg/ml bFGF, and cut sections were examined as described in Figure 1. ECs are in green. Bars = 10 μm. In separate experiments, 125I-remnants were perfused into livers of (d) WT and (e) Ldlr–/– livers without or with Na heparin or bFGF. The amount removed per pass (% of total perfused per pass) is plotted as a function of time.
